Our Mission
The mission of Ruby Media is to take the ideas of the world and turn them into effective and imaginative works of art. We create content that is not only appealing to the eye but also effective. It’s all in the delivery of the story and we want to tell that story in the best way possible.
There’s a motto that we stand by in our day to day operations; “Content is King, Consistency is Queen”. What it means to us is that good, consistent content is the key to success. This is the attitude that we bring to every project we work on. This means that no matter the size, no matter the scope, that our single most important goal is to create the best content to suit your needs.
Our History
Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, the true origins of Ruby Media start all the way back in 2016 when founders Dan Zalewski III and Calen Wolfskill became fast friends while attending Millersville University. What started as mutual interests in short films and the campus radio station turned into a lethal partnership where the duo created everything from live television and radio to short films and music videos.
It was while traveling around the country as a freelance editor that Dan felt inspired to expand beyond the realm of post-production and build a team that can develop a project from a single spark of inspiration to a high quality product, fit to handle any needs necessary. When it came to producing high quality content, Dan knew that the first move was to bring the duo back together.
And in the spring of 2020, while a global pandemic kept everyone indoors. The pair were hard at work learning all the ins and outs of making this dream a reality. With the knowledge, passion, and dedication to create the highest quality video and audio productions, Ruby Media was born. Today the journey continues as Dan takes a step back from the business and President of the company Calen takes over to run the day to day operations.
