Ruby was the very first serious production by Ruby Media for the first annual Midnight Run 24 short film competition. The entire production, from concept to final export had to have been completed within 24 hours. The focus they decided to emphasis was telling a simple story effectively. With the always relatable tale of a coming-of-age story, the production made the most of the limited environment and resources on hand, to not only make a good looking film, but to tell a story with heart. Their efforts were rewarded as Ruby took first prize in the Midnight Run 24, 2018 film competition, sparking the strive for professionalism that drives Ruby Media today.
